Seafood Supervisor Trainee

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Seafood Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Seafood Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head and Assistant Department Head in providing guidance, supervision and is set as a good example for Seafood Assistants to follow.

You Will

Provide guidance and supervision to Store Associates, ensure fair distribution of work and daily operational procedures are strictly executed.

Assist department leaders to train staff, provide feedback on staff performance, and maintain daily operations as and when required

Manage product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure company policies are strictly practiced within the department

Handle customers’ complaints, deliver exceptional customer service and relate customer feedback to department leaders

Conduct quality and inventory control, responsible for equipment and tools maintenance, follow up and the cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety of the department

You Should Have / Be

Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays

Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises

Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with seafood products(live & frozen) and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis

Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃), freezing temperature (-18℃), and wet environment for long time

Possess basic computer skills in MS Office

Not allergic in handling seafood products

Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
