Cantina Mercatto is hiring a Cook to join the Kitchen Team. We’re looking for someone who brings consistency, care, and a genuine interest in Italian-inspired cooking — and who enjoys working in an organized, supportive kitchen environment.

What You'll Do

Prepare dishes with consistency and attention to detail, following Mercatto recipes and plating standards

Support the kitchen leadership team through delegated tasks from the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or General Manager

Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe station at all times

Stay on top of prep duties and contribute to efficient, smooth service

Contribute to a positive, high-performance kitchen culture

What You Bring

Culinary training or education is an asset

Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques

Ability to follow direction and maintain composure during service

A positive attitude, clear communication, and team-first mindset

A genuine interest in learning and developing within a hospitality kitchen centred on from-scratch cooking.
