Reports to: Road Superintendent

Location: Initial Placement – To be determined

Minimum Qualifications:Secondary school education or equivalent combination of education and experienceGood technical and mechanical skillsValid Class D license with Z endorsement with an acceptable abstractAbility to operate light, medium, and heavy equipment, including but not limited to standard transmission tandem dump truck, loader/backhoe, snowplow/sander, tractors, chainsaws, weed eaters, etc.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environmentGood communication skills (both verbal and written)Demonstrated safe work practices (in compliance with applicable legislation, i.e. Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7, County of Brant Health & Safety Policies & Procedures, etc.)Assets:Experience with and demonstrated ability to operate road graderKnowledge related to Public WorksDuties:Operate a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment, power and hand tools to perform maintenance, repair, construction tasks and winter control operations as related to Public Works type activitiesOther relevant duties as assignedCurrent Hourly Rate: $25.91/hour – Probationary Rate 40 hours/week

$32.12/hour – Full Time Rate
