Benmet Steel & Metal is a leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry located in *Guelph, Stratford and Owen Sound, Ontario*. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

*What you’ll do…*

_*Our Team members are the heart and soul of our yard.*_ They are responsible for grading and sorting material, in addition to assisting customers with unloading or material inquiries. We are looking for a hard-working team member to add to our team and be a in our service delivery, operations, and growth. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a leading role in day-to-day operations.

*Job Description*

* Sorting of various types of scrap metal, both non-ferrous and ferrous, for preparation to recycle

* Grading of incoming material

* Use of two-way radios

* Build relationships with customers who come into the yard

* Ability to work safely and independently

* Safe and efficient use of various hand and power tools

* Maintain cleanliness of sorting areas

* Work outside in a variety of weather conditions

*Requirements*

* 3 months experience working in an industrial setting

* 1 year experience working in an industrial setting is an asset
