*Job Overview*
We’re seeking an experienced *Senior Computer Repair Technician* to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in *hardware and software diagnostics, motherboard-level repairs, BIOS unlocking, and advanced component replacement* for laptops and desktops. You’ll work on a variety of systems from major brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Apple, ensuring every unit meets the highest standards before it reaches our customers.
This position requires hands-on expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to identify and repair complex faults at the board and component level.
*Responsibilities*
* Diagnose and repair laptop and desktop hardware, including motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, charging ports, and power circuits.
* Perform component-level repairs such as *soldering, reflow, and reballing* using professional tools.
* Replace defective parts (LCDs, keyboards, batteries, SSDs, etc.) and ensure full functional testing after repair.
* Troubleshoot and reinstall operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), including driver and software optimization.
* Identify root causes of issues such as no-power, no-display, liquid damage, or overheating.
* Maintain detailed service records and track repair progress through internal ticketing systems.
* Ensure all repairs meet internal quality standards and are completed efficiently.
* Support junior technicians with technical training and supervision when needed.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum 2 *years of experience* in laptop and desktop hardware repair, including component-level diagnostics.
* Proficiency with *multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering/rework stations*, and hot air tools.
* Strong understanding of motherboard schematics, DC-in power flow, and short-circuit tracing.
* Experience in BIOS programming, firmware flashing, and unlocking systems.
* Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux installation and troubleshooting.
* Ability to read and interpret board diagrams and identify faulty ICs and circuits.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
*Preferred Skills*
* Experience repairing laptops (e.g., ThinkPad, Latitude, EliteBook, MacBook).
* Familiarity with lock removal processes.
* Basic inventory management for parts and tools.
