Pharmacy Assistant

*About the Role*

The ideal candidate is someone who can *handle a fast-paced environment*, *multitask confidently*, and provide excellent customer service—both in person and over the phone. You must be comfortable working under pressure during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

*Experience with Fillware Pharmacy Software is a strong asset* and preferred.

Since our patient base is primarily South Asian, *language abilities in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or Gujarati* would be highly beneficial.

*Key Responsibilities*

* *Prescription Processing:* Filing, billing, third-party adjudication, and data entry (Fillware familiarity preferred)

* *Dispensing Support:* Counting medications, preparing and labelling, blister packaging

* *Customer Service:* Greeting patients, answering phone calls, managing in-person queue, assisting with OTC inquiries

* *Professional Communication:* Interacting with physicians, clinics, and other healthcare professionals by phone, fax, and in person

* *Organization & Cleanliness:* Maintaining a tidy, well-organized dispensary and workflow area

* *Documentation:* Accurate and timely record-keeping

* *General Support:* Assisting pharmacists with daily operations and special tasks as needed

*What We’re Looking For*

* Strong multitasking ability (e.g., assisting walk-in patients while managing phone calls)

* Ability to work well *under pressure* without compromising accuracy

* Focused, reliable, and detail-oriented

* Experience with *Fillware* is an asset

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* *Language skills* in Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/Gujarati are an advantage

* A passion for pharmacy and a desire to grow with our team long-term (minimum a few years preferred)

* Willingness to learn and adapt
