*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, restaurant operations, and guest services, with a strong focus on efficiency and hospitality. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and upselling within a dynamic team setting.
*Duties*
* Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards
* Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cash handling
* Manage guest orders with professionalism, ensuring timely service and accuracy
* Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations
* Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking and assembly of menu items
* Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
* Ensure food safety standards are adhered to throughout all stages of food handling and service
* Provide exceptional guest services by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Follow proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and guests
*Skills*
* Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient cashiering and order management
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
* Knowledge of food service operations, including food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests
* Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, change calculation, and inventory management
* Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
* Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a kitchen or restaurant setting
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
* Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
