Dairy Farm Worker

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dairy Farm Worker to join our team. This position is for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working with animals, and being part of a small, supportive farm environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

*Duties*

* Feed cows and calves.

* Rake and bed up stalls.

* Monitor animal behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to management.

* Operate a skid steer/tractor/feed mixer safely and efficiently when completing farm tasks.

* Keep accurate records of herd movements, health status, and feeding schedules.

* Clean barn and equipment.

* Utilize hand tools and power tools for various farming tasks.

* Be on call 7 days a month to assist with animals and barns

*Requirements*

* Valid driver's licence.

* Must have equipment driving experience

* Must have reliable transportation.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must be a Canadian citizen.

*Assets*

* Previous experience in dairy farming and operating tractors/farm machinery is preferred.

* Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly related to farm machinery and equipment maintenance.

* Familiarity with Lely barn robot products considered an asset.

*Wage*

$17.20-$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

*Hours*

* 6:30am - 3pm, 5pm -8pm

* On call 24 hours 7 days a month

* 3-4 days per week

* Flexible schedule, some weekends required
