Shop / Yard Labourer

*Overview*

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop / Yard Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting shop operations (maintenance work on trailers, preparing trailers for rentals, and checking trailers in once they return) and yard operations (organizing trailer and container inventory, cleaning the yard, etc.).

*Responsibilities*

* Clean office trailers

* Assist senior shop team with basic carpentry tasks

* Review trailers for inventory and damage when they are returned

* Prepare office trailers to go out on rent

* Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand tools as needed

* Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while working in the yard

* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

* Create lists of materials and supplies needed

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop and yard environment

*Requirements*

* Experience operating a forklift is a plus but not a requirement

* Prior experience with basic carpentry a plus but not a requirement

* Willingness to work within a small team and contribute to shop / yard team goals

* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods

* Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and positive attitude

* Vehicle to get to / from our shop location in Shuniah, ON (325 highway 527 - 5 minutes outside of Thunder Bay). Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
