Food and Beverage Server

Overview

Yukiguni, a family-owned Japanese restaurant in Niagara Falls since 1988, is seeking an enthusiastic Server to join our team. As the first point of contact with our guests, you will play a key role in creating an inviting and memorable dining experience. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, attentive, and passionate about hospitality, with an interest in learning about authentic Japanese cuisine.

Responsibilities

* Welcome and seat guests with warmth and professionalism.

* Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

* Provide menu knowledge, including making recommendations and explaining Japanese dishes.

* Serve food and beverages in accordance with Yukiguni’s service standards.

* Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in and addressing any needs or concerns.

* Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.

* Handle payments and operate the POS system accurately.

Experience & Skills

* Previous serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.

* Strong customer service and communication skills.

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

* Interest in Japanese cuisine and culture is an asset (training provided).

* Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude.

* Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
